Airports Training

Snow and ice control, facilities operations and maintenance, product evaluation or training.

Training Course Subjects

The airports industry is highly regulated and specific training for key personnel is a requirement.  In Canada the regulator (Transport Canada) charges airport operating authorities with ensuring that staff receive training in accordance with regulations and advise.

Completion of TTS courses ensure compliance with the Regulator’s training requirements for the specific subjects as stipulated in both the advisory material and regulations.

For details of each course please see the ‘Course Details’ page.

Format

Most courses are ‘competency based’, i.e. the course is structured so that the knowledge and skill required to perform requisite duties is addressed. Course schedule is subservient to this requirement and every effort is made to facilitate the needs of each attendee.

Certification

Competency based courses are offered with certification which requires knowledge testing and in some cases practical testing.

Seminars

Course material is written in modular form and in many cases it is possible to provide a seminar style presentation addressing many of the key points of the same subject matter. Please contact us for further details.

Trainers

The Principal and the SMEs listed on the ‘About Us’ page deliver our training. On occasion, alternative, fully qualified and airport-experienced trainers may provide instruction.

Venues

Courses are designed for delivery over two to three days at host airports or at training institutions where suitable facilities are available.

Course Loading

Class load limits are based on the need to cover detailed technical and operational material and the requirement for extensive ‘one-on-one’ interaction in some subjects.  Courses that include practical skill testing or exercises such as Winter Aircraft Movement Surface Condition Reporting have a normal limit of ten attendees.  Loading for other courses will be governed by additional factors.
